About Charleston Insights
Whether coming for pleasure or considering purchasing property, Charleston Insights provides the introduction you need to get to know Charleston. You will likely be impressed by Charleston's beauty as you tour the city - especially now that America's oldest and largest historic district has been restored to its pre-Civil War splendor. However, truly appreciating Charleston's unique charm takes more than sightseeing alone. It also takes looking into the city's richly interwoven social fabric and culture.
With a B.A. in British Civilization, your guide will show you how Charleston's English Enlightenment, aristocratic, and Gullah cultural roots have shaped and distinguished this wealthiest city of British Colonial and Antebellum America for the past 350 years. By viewing Charleston's distinctive Anglo-Caribbean architecture, landscaped gardens, and gracious lifestyle in this light, you will gain insight into the city - and see why leading travel publications have rated Charleston Best City USA each year since 2011. Restored to its earlier grandeur, Charleston is once again cosmopolitan and stunning!
